Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Serve: 4 people
Ingredients
- 1 lb top round, London broil or flank steak, thinly sliced
- ½ tsp canola oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
- ¾ cup low sodium beef broth
- 3 tsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tsp cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons cold water
- ¼ tsp chili flakes
- 5 cups broccoli florets (about 8 oz. florets)
- 4 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Preparation
Place the beef in the ActiFry pan, drizzle with the canola oil and cook until meat is browned on all sides and just cooked, 8 minutes. Transfer the meat to a plate. Add the onion and pepper to the ActiFry pan and cook until tender, 9 to 10 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger and cook an additional 3 minutes. In a small bowl whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, cornstarch and chili flakes and add to pan with beef. Stir in broccoli, and cook an additional 5 minutes, until broccoli is just tender and liquid as thickened slightly. Divide among 4 plates and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
