Rice with Shrimp Oil Sauce

Serve: 4 people


  • 12 fresh prawns
  • 1 lb 5 oz cooked rice
  • 2 spoonful sliced garlic
  • 10 1/2 oz cooked vegetables (corn, carrots, peas)
  • 6 ActiFry spoon shrimp oil paste
  • 1 sliced shallot
  • 1/2 ActiFry spoon oyster sauce or soy sauce
  • 1/2 ActiFry spoon fine sugar
  • salt
  • freshly ground white pepper


1. Put the shrimp oil paste, the sliced garlic, the oyster sauce and the sugar in the ActiFry. Cook for 3 minutes.__ 2. Add the prawns to the ActiFry and cook for 6 to 7 minutes or until the prawns are cooked and mixed well with the sauce.__ 3. Add the cooked rice, the carrots, the corn and the peas. Mix with a spatula. Cook for 5 minutes__ 4. Add the sliced shallot and the pepper and serve with sliced cucumber and tomatoes.___ Tip: Shrimp oil paste is usually sold in Thai or Chinese supermarkets. Alternatively, substitute with fish sauce.
